The Kushaq facelift is currently in the works by the renowned Czech carmaker, Skoda Auto. In 2025, the well-liked mid-size SUV will get a midlife facelift. The test mule of the upcoming, revised Kushaq was recently spotted testing outside of India. This test mule was seen sporting camouflage in both the front and rear. It is said that the ADAS Level 2 and panoramic sunroof would be the standout features of this newly redesigned vehicle. In addition to the updated Kushaq, the company is gearing up to introduce the Skoda Kylaq, a subcompact SUV, to the Indian market. The intended debut date for this vehicle is early in 2025. In India, it will serve as the brand's entry-level model. Upon launch, the Kylaq will go up against the likes of the Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, and the Maruti Suzuki Brezza. Coming back to the Kushaq facelift, here's all you can expect from the upcoming Skoda offering.

Skoda Kushaq Facelift: Design Cues
On the exterior front, the most noteworthy modification for the soon-to-be-launched Skoda Kushaq facelift is the inclusion of an ADAS suite, which is evident from the presence of an air dam sensor. A new grille, modified projector headlamps, updated front and back bumpers and a redesigned tailgate are among the other changes we can anticipate. It may also get a fresh set of alloy wheels.

New upholstery and ventilated seats are anticipated inside the redesigned Skoda Kushaq, along with other improvements. The model currently on sale comes packed with features such as an electric sunroof, cruise control, a 10-inch infotainment touchscreen system, a fully digital colour instrument cluster, six airbags, ABS, an auto-dimming IRVM, and a two-spoke steering wheel, follow-me-home function, power windows, rear AC vents, front centre armrest, height-adjustable driver seat, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, six speakers, a remote key, rear parking sensors, three-point seat belts, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), auto start-stop function, traction control, and ISOFIX anchors.

Skoda Kushaq Facelift: Powertrain Setup
When it comes to the powertrain setup, the updated Skoda Kushaq is anticipated to retain the current engine options. The Skoda Kushaq presently offers two engine options: a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol paired to either a six-speed MT or six-speed AT, and a 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine mated to either a six-speed MT or seven-speed DSG. The 1.0-litre petrol engine belts out 114bhp of maximum power and 178Nm of torque, while the 1.5-litre engine generates 148bhp and 250Nm of peak torque. However, the 1.5-litre TSI version's manual gearbox was previously discontinued, so it is uncertain if it will make a comeback in the facelifted model.
Skoda Kushaq Facelift: Competition Check
Several popular models like the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara (Rs 10.99 lakh), Volkswagen Taigun (Rs 11.70 lakh), Honda Elevate (Rs 11.91 lakh), and Kia Seltos (Rs 10.89 lakh) are the Skoda Kushaq's competitors in the Indian market. All mentioned prices are ex-showroom figures.
