Want to buy the new Skoda Kodiaq? Unfortunately, all the units of the Kodiaq have been sold out for 2022. However, the new batch – likely for next – of the SUV will be pricer than before.
The Skoda Kodiaq made a comeback in 2022 with a new fascia and an updated powertrain. The SUV received an overwhelming response and Skoda India reported that the first batch of the Kodiaq was sold out in 24 hours. Now, the company has reported that all the 1,200 units allocated for the year 2022, have been sold out.
However, the next batch of the Skoda Kodiaq is likely to be announced by the final quarter. The new batch of the SUV will be dearer to its customer by Rs 1 lakh. The new prices will range from Rs 35.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 38.49 lakh (ex-showroom) and the SUV will be offered in three variants.
The Kodiaq was launched via the CKD route which let Skoda price the Kodiaq aggressively. The SUV is being assembled at Skoda’s facility in Aurangabad. The new Kodiaq mainly rivals the MG Gloster, Toyota Fortuner, Mahindra Alturas G4 and Isuzu MU-X.
The engine is a 187bhp 2.0-litre petrol motor churning out 320Nm torque. A seven-speed DSG box forwards all the power to all the wheels. Sadly, there is no diesel option available in India at the moment.
