New Skoda Kodiaq India Launch Soon, Here's All You Need to Know
Although Skoda hasn't made any official announcement, the new Kodiaq is expected to hit the streets by the end of the year.
Skoda introduced the updated Kodiaq globally last year, with a more angular appearance, luxurious interior, and enhanced equipment. Although there has been no official announcement, the updated edition is expected to be on sale in India soon, with pricing starting around Rs 40 lakh (ex-showroom). Globally, the new-generation SUV comes with a range of powertrain options, including a 1.5-litre TSI petrol engine with mild hybrid technology (148bhp), a 2.0-litre TSI engine with all-wheel drive (201bhp), and a 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine with front-wheel drive (151bhp) and all-wheel drive (201bhp).
A plug-in hybrid powertrain featuring a 1.5-litre TSI engine and an electric motor, delivering a combined 201bhp and a pure electric range exceeding 100 kilometres, is also available for the first time. Skoda has not disclosed details about the India-spec version, but it is expected to retain the same 2-litre turbo-petrol mill that produces 187bhp and 320Nm.

Existing Skoda Kodiaq: Key Details
The Skoda Kodiaq is priced in India at Rs 39.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It is available in five exterior colours: Lava Blue Metallic, Magic Black Metallic, Moon White Metallic, and Graphite Grey Metallic. The Style versions are available in a Moon White Metallic paint scheme.
The 7-seat SUV is equipped with ventilated and heated front seats with massage function, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital driver's display (8-inch in the Style variant), an updated 12-speaker sound system, cruise control, 10-colour ambient lighting, 3-zone climate control, and a panoramic sunroof. The SUV also includes a 360-degree camera, hill hold, and descent control, nine airbags (as standard), electronic stability control (ESC), and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).

New Skoda Kodiaq Main Features
Following its global debut in October last year, the revised Kodiaq is slated to arrive in India later this year. It adheres to the company's Modern Solid design language, showcased in the 2022 Vision 7S concept. The updated model has several noteworthy features, such as squared-off wheel arches, an illuminated strip behind the larger grille, a quad-headlight arrangement with LED Matrix headlights, producing 15% more light, new bumpers, aero-oriented wing mirrors, and wheels. The SUV is longer by 61mm and is constructed on the new MQB-EVO platform.
