Skoda has released a few design sketches of the facelifted Karoq mid-size crossover-SUV. Going by the sketches, the changes to the facelifted model seem largely cosmetic.
Skoda has released the design sketches of the upcoming 2022 Skoda Karoq. The updates include changes to the exterior and a few minor tweaks to the interior. Going by the design sketches, the facelifted Karoq will sport a bolder design compared to the model on sale in India. The fascia of the new Karoq will be very similar to the Kushaq; however, the former is a mid-size SUV, which is positioned in a segment above the latter, and therefore, its dimensions will be larger.
The grille at the front will sport a similar design as that of recent Skoda SUVs and sedans. The air dam will have a sharper design, and the overall bumper profile will be aggressively styled.
The rear end will see some minor retouching as well. Expect the taillamps to sport a new design and the rear bumper to be restyled.
Skoda may update the cabin with new fabric. The dashboard is expected to carry a similar design; however, the dashboard elements and inserts are likely to be new.
The engine will be the same 1.5-litre turbo-petrol motor as before. The power output is expected to be unchanged as well. The 2022 Skoda Karoq will produce 148bhp and 250Nm, all of which will be forwarded to the front wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Skoda will unveil the 2022 Karoq on November 30, 2021. The new crossover-SUV will go on sale in international markets by early next year. Skoda India may launch the new Karoq by mid-2022. Currently, Skoda is gearing up for the global unveiling of the new Slavia sedan on November 18. Also, the Skoda Kodiaq facelift is expected to be launched in India by January 2022.
