Planning to buy a new Skoda? It seems to be the right time for your purchase, as the company has reduced the service and ownership costs. Skoda India also plans on penetrating the tier II and tier III cities of the Indian market.
Skoda India has announced a ‘Peace of Mind’ campaign, which focuses on strengthening its presence in the nation and reducing ownership costs for buyers. Skoda India has reduced 32 per cent of its engine oil and spare part prices for its petrol engines. Additionally, the company has increased the replacement interval of mandatory spare parts. This has resulted in a 21 per cent lower overall cost of maintenance for five years or 75,000 km (varying from model to model). Aftersales packages such as SuperCare and Extended Warranty – for the 5th and 6th year – and service campaigns have also become more affordable.
Skoda India's MyŠKODA App for smartphones offers features such as a service cost calculator and an online service appointment booking facility. Customers can now also extend the roadside assistance program, called ŠKODA Assist, for up to nine years from the date of purchase.
Skoda India promises to increase its penetration in tier II and tier III cities of the Indian market. The company also plans on setting up 185 aftersales touchpoints by 2025 under India 2.0 strategy.
Zac Hollis, Brand Director – SKODA AUTO India, commented, 'One of the key pillars under the India 2.0 strategy is enhancing the ownership experience and focusing on customer delight. The "Peace of Mind" campaign has been designed with this objective. We have taken measures that reduce the maintenance costs and offer class-leading warranty across the range, which highlights the confidence we have in our products and service offerings.'
