The Czech marque has announced a design contest in India. The contest has been curated to hunt for young talent, and the winner will be given an opportunity to visit Skoda Auto’s headquarters.
Skoda has announced a design competition that has been curated for budding Indian talent. The competition has been dubbed ‘Camouflage with Skoda’ and revolves around designing camouflage for the upcoming sedan ahead of its global debut. The entries for the competition are now open and the final date for submission is August 18, 2021. The top five designs will be shortlisted by the judges and the final winner will be announced on August 23, 2021.
The contest will be judged by Gurpratap Boparai, Managing Director - SAVWIPL, Zac Hollis, Brand Director - Skoda Auto India and Oliver Stefani, Head of Design - Skoda Auto. The panel will judge the designs on innovation, aesthetics, functionality, ergonomics, durability, impact, utility, reality of production and the emotional quotient.
For participation, the individuals should be above 18 years of age. The entries will also be accepted from design studios, companies, universities, design students and design professionals from India. The enrollment process will be done via registering and submitting designs online on www.camowithskoda.com.
The winner of the contest will be given an opportunity to travel to Prague to meet the Head of Design, Skoda Auto, Oliver Stefani, at the Skoda headquarters
Skoda Auto will also apply the winning design on the upcoming Skoda sedan which will be showcased across the country. The runner-up contestants will get a design tablet and the next three shortlisted entries will be awarded Skoda gift bags.
