Not too long ago Samsung unveiled their very first Mirror and Transparent OLED dislpay panels. This new technology really caught our attention and it seems that Samsung is using its technological prowess to help improve our everyday life. Now, the latest technology to come out from the Japanese company is very interesting, considering that it aims to improve road safety.

Samsung have just unveiled yet another technological innovation using their superior display technology that will help drivers all over the world. Samsung is calling this new technology the Samsung Safety Truck, and it is simply a large display screen attached to the rear-end of a large truck that will allow drivers driving behind the truck to view the road ahead.

Imagine you are driving on a two-lane highway and there just happens to be a massive truck or commercial vehicle in front of you. Now if you want to overtake this truck you need to be very cautious and make sure that the road ahead is clear, but because the truck is quite massive it's hard to get a clear picture of the road ahead, and so overtaking can be quite dangerous. Now imagine the truck has a large display screen behind it, which allowed you to see everything in front of the truck, this would surely make it a whole lot easier for you to be confident and sure of overtaking without any worry at all.

Thanks to a wireless camera that is located in front of the truck you are able to see what is ahead. The technology also uses a quartet of outdoor rear monitors that can project traffic conditions for both truck driver as well as trailing drivers. There is also a night mode that is available that allows drivers to safely see what lies ahead even when it is dark.

The technology is still under development, but we certainly like the idea of a transparent truck.
