The video series produced by the collaboration of Rolls Royce Motor Cars and National Geographic on the Rolls Royce Cullinan’s development concludes its first two legs, with the final leg still to be conquered. You do not want to miss this!
Rolls Royce has announced their collaboration with National Geographic to produce a series of films for social media and TV. The series will show the test mules of Rolls Royce Cullinan battling against gruelling terrain. All this to see what breaks the Cullinan in its final development stage.
The series follows the Cullinan’s journey through the Highlands of Scotland and the alps of Austria, followed by the vast and arid sand dunes of the Middle East. The final leg of the journey will see the Cullinan endure the toughest terrains of North America.
Rolls Royce has named the series ‘The Final Challenge’. The series currently has seven episodes from the Scottish leg of the journey in the first playlist available on YouTube, including an episode dedicated to Cory Richards, an explorer and photographer and National Geographic’s Adventurer of the Year in 2012, who is accompanying the Cullinan on its development journey. The second playlist has an additional seven episodes, which explore the sandy deserts of the United Arab Emirates.
Watching a Rolls Royce in such hostile environments is a sight to behold, especially to see it tackle rocky landscapes in Scotland and barren dunes in UAE. Our favourite bits are the one where Cory claims at the top of a mountain that he wants a picture from the top of a ridge, and the driver ploughs through the steep incline and the gobsmacking moment when the Cullinan takes the Devil’s plunge in the desert. Trust us, this is a series you don’t want to miss.
The final leg in North America is yet to go live. According to certain reports, Rolls Royce will debut their first ever SUV on May 10, 2018. We reckon that the American leg of the journey will be available to view prior to its official launch. Until then, enjoy the two available playlists.
