The French car maker has had tremendous success with the Duster, and now nearly two years since it was first launched in India, Renault has just launched the all-wheel drive version of their best selling vehicle in the country. There is no design change in the vehicle except for new headlamps, a new alloy wheel design and the AWD decal that runs along the side of the car.
The interiors received the biggest change with a new three-pod instrument cluster, a sportier steering wheel, bright red and grey upholstery and a new centre console borrowed from the Duster Adventure Edition. The dashboard is now grey instead of the beige one available on the regular models.
There is a knob that will allow the driver to choose between front wheel-drive, an auto mode, and then the AWD mode. However, the Duster AWD will be available only in the diesel 108bhp engine model, and will be mated to the same 6-speed manual transmission.
The new AWD Duster carries a starting price tag of Rs 11.89 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
