Nissan Micra updated with auto headlamps, rain-sensing wipers and orange interior.
Nissan has given the Micra yet another makeover as the firm has now launched a mildly updated version of the hatchback. Changes on the car include minor tweaks on the inside along with a couple of new features. The refreshed Micra is priced between Rs 5.99 lakh and Rs 7.23 lakh (ex-showroom).
On the outside, there’s virtually nothing to tell the updated model from the older car. So, let’s just skip to the interior where the car gets a handful of updates. The cabin sports an all black theme with orange accents. That’s about it. In terms of features and equipment, the Micra now gets auto headlamps, rain sensing wipers and a “lead me to car” function that apparently helps you locate your vehicle in a parking lot. Other features like start/stop ignition button, steering mounted controls, Bluetooth connectivity, and more, continue to be offered. There’s still no touchscreen infotainment system offered with the car.
On the mechanical front, there are no updates either. The refreshed Micra is offered with the same set of 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol and 1.5-litre four-cylinder diesel engines. The former is rated at 76bhp and 104Nm, and comes paired with a CVT automatic gearbox – there’s no manual, while the diesel engine produces 63bhp and 160Nm of torque, and comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
Additionally, Nissan will be offering a 3-year/50,000km extended warranty with the Micra.
The variant-wise prices (ex-showroom, Delhi) of the updated Micra are as follows,
Petrol:
XL CVT – Rs 5.99 lakh
XV CVT – Rs 6.95 lakh
Diesel:
XL – Rs 6.62 lakh
XL Comfort – Rs 7.23 lakh
