Land Rover continues to celebrate 25 years of Discovery by giving minor upgrades to its 2015 model. It gets additional standard equipment and has borrowed styling cues from the XXV Special Edition anniversary variant. The Discovery also gets a spruced up in-car technology which comes with Land Rover InControlTM Apps.
Land Rover has enhanced the luxury quotient of the Discovery by giving buyers options like Ebony/Cirrus Dual-tone Windsor Leather upholstery, the Grand Black Lacquer wood and leather-wrapped steering wheel or with a new Straight Grained Walnut wood. There are numerous other additional wood trims available.
Coming to the exterior, the Discovery now comes with an option to opt for 20-inch alloy wheels rather than the standard 19-inch ones. It also comes with the XXV Edition’s exterior colour palette like the newly introduced Aruba, Kaikora Stone and Montalcino Red replace Luxor, Ipanema Sand and Nara Bronze.
In terms of technology, the Discovery’s in-car infotainment comes with Land Rover’s InControl Apps which integrates with the smart phone and provides easy access to the connected mobile phone’s contacts, calendar and music library. It also offers services like satellite-navigation, media streaming, and internet radio and location services.
“To mark 25 years of Discovery, Land Rover offered more premium luxury in the form of the XXV Special Edition. Striking attributes from this anniversary derivative are now being made available across the range for our customers to bring that level of heightened luxury into their Discovery of choice,” said Phil Popham, Jaguar Land Rover Group Marketing Director.
