Citroen India is all set to launch the Basalt, the company's first coupe SUV, in the Indian market. Previously seen in concept form, the car is scheduled to go on sale on August 2. It is important to note that certain dealerships have started accepting bookings for the upcoming model. Upon launch, the Basal will compete against several popular products such as the Tata Curvv, Hyundai Creta, Skoda Kushaq, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Honda Elevate, MG Astor, Toyota Hyryder, Volkswagen Taigun, and Kia Seltos. However, before its official launch, the production-spec model, decked out in a red paint job, was recently spotted testing without any camouflage on Indian roads.
