Porsche India launched the new Cayman S today. The two-seater sports car has been completely revamped. The Cayman S is now lower and longer, lighter and faster, more efficient and more powerful than ever.

The new Cayman S is – after the 911 Carrera and Boxster – the third sports car model from Porsche to feature innovative lightweight body design with mixed aluminium-steel construction.

Porsche’s latest model is up to 30 kg lighter, depending on the specific model and equipment, and consumes up to 15% less fuel per 100 km than its predecessor.

The Cayman S is available with a 3.4-litre flat-six cylinder engine which develops 325 bhp. The seven-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission as an option and it powers the rear wheels.

When equipped with PDK, The Porsche Cayman S accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 4.9 seconds (4.7 seconds with optional Sport Chrono package) and attains a top speed of 281 km/h.

The cabin gets redesigned interiors and a 7-inch touchscreen. Optional features include a Burmester sound system and bi-colour leather packages. The new Porsche Cayman S is priced at Rs. 92.27 lakhs (ex-showroom Maharashtra)
