Porsche will debut the facelift model of the Cayenne SUV at the forthcoming Shanghai Auto Show on April 18 this year. Recently, the luxury carmaker released interior images ahead of the much-awaited global debut. For now, we only know about the interior. There is no official update on the exterior design of the model yet. Inside, the new Porsche Cayenne has a completely redesigned cockpit with a greater focus on driver engagement that was influenced by the Taycan. The updated SUV will go on sale in all markets in the upcoming months. Apart from an improved interior, the new version will reportedly have a range of mechanical improvements and a few exterior design modifications. As now the images of the interior have been revealed ahead of the debut, let's know more about how the SUV will look from the inside and differ from its previous version.
Porsche Cayenne facelift: Interior Updates
The updated Cayenne SUV has a brand-new dashboard design that includes three displays. It gets a Taycan-like 12.6-inch curved digital driver's display with numerous display modes. The dashboard is dominated by the primary 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the centre. It offers onboard navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, Siri communication, and a video streaming choice while the car is inactive.
Further, the new SUV gets a third 10.2-inch touchscreen monitor for the front passenger, located in the dashboard directly in front of the co-driver seat. This device can stream movies and be used with a smartphone to play multimedia files.

The updated Porsche Cayenne will also receive a new steering wheel, based on the 911. Therefore, the steering wheel now includes a new standard drive mode selector.
A switchable device on the dashboard to the right of the new multi-functional steering wheel has taken the place of the transmission lever. The new Cayenne SUV still has physical knobs and settings for the HVAC and infotainment systems.
Other notable features include front and back USB-C ports, Porsche Communication Management connected car technology (pairs phone via a QR code), a cooled smartphone storage compartment with wireless charging up to 15W, and an optional heads-up display (HUD).
Porsche Cayenne facelift: India Launch & More Details
The luxury carmaker has not revealed anything related to the exterior or powertrain yet. It is expected to share these details closer to the global debut. According to market reports, over 40 lakh test kilometres in prototype guise have already been logged by the new Cayenne in Asia, Africa, Europe, and North America.

Reports further revealed that a total of 200,000 kilometres were also covered during the tests on highways, rural roads, and in city traffic. As far as the launch of the new SUV in our market is concerned, the automaker could introduce the heavily updated SUV in the country shortly after its international debut. Porsche presently offers the pre-facelift Cayenne in India.
