Budapest-based KAMM Manufaktur has revealed its latest resto-mod, inspired by the 1965 Porsche 912. It's called the 912c, and KAMM founder Miklos Kazmer has given a host of performance enhancements to Porsche's already powerful 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, air-cooled engine. A larger 2.0-litre motor is installed that packs in an electronic fuel injection system and throttle bodies, revving the car to 7,200rpm. While the output figures of the KAMM 912c are yet to be revealed, the air-cooled, flat-four engine in the standard car is capable of producing 187bhp, which is more than double the output of the smaller 1.6-litre engine sourced from the older 356 (that made only 90bhp). Other performance-enhancing elements include a carbon fibre body kit and aerodynamic tweaks for high-speed stability and reduced wind noise.

Having said that, the 1965 Porsche 912-based vehicle gets a full carbon fibre body kit (including carbon fibre wheels) aimed at reducing weight and improving efficiency. As a result, the KAMM Porsche 912c weighs in at an impressive 699 kilograms (1,541 pounds) or 300 kilograms (661 pounds) less than the stock Porsche 912. Thanks to weight-saving measures like these, the KAMM Porsche 912cc has a nearly 50:50 weight distribution, and it is safe to assume that the final output figures will go up a good deal.
KAMM Porsche 912c: Interior Bits
Inside, the KAMM resto-mod features improved air conditioning, customised carbon fibre seats, carbon fibre trim, as well as a new audio system with smartphone connectivity. The ZF limited-slip differential, hydraulic handbrake, 5-speed 'dogleg' gearbox, and multi-adjustable dampers bring the new car closer to the original 912c. Additionally, KAMM is also offering a diverse range of customisation options that include exterior design, wheel trim finishes, and seats.
KAMM Porsche 912c: Price
Price-wise, the full carbon-bodied KAMM Porsche 912c is available for purchase at € 400,000 ($ 437,000), while the semi-carbon configuration can be had at € 360,000 ($ 393,000). Deliveries are due to start early next year.
This Porsche 911 Turbo Gets Louise Piech-Handpicked Tartan Fabric
Not so long ago, Porsche pulled the covers off the one-off 911 Turbo. The new sports car is the German manufacturer's homage to the original 911 Turbo model introduced in 1975. It was at the 1963 Frankfurt Motor Show that Porsche unveiled the very first 911 about 60 years ago, and this special 911 Turbo will be a great tribute to this iconic 911.
This one-off Porsche 911 Turbo is a product of the collaboration between Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur and Porsche Middle East and Africa regional office with support of the colleagues from Heritage & Museum. This particular model is unique, in the sense that it draws inspiration from the legendary 911 Turbo Nr. 1, which was a special commission from Louise Piech (daughter of automotive pioneer Ferdinand Porsche), and was given to her for her 70th birthday.

Mechanically, the bespoke 911 Turbo continues with the same 3.8 litre, twin-turbocharged, flat-six engine with direct injection technology. This engine cranks out 564bhp and 750Nm of peak torque. Power is sent to all wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission.
