Porsche has launched the exclusive 911 Turbo 50 Years Edition in India, priced at Rs 4.05 crore (ex-showroom). Celebrating five decades of the iconic 911 Turbo, this limited-edition model features a blend of classic design elements and modern technology, paying tribute to Porsche’s rich motorsport legacy. The 911 Turbo 50 Years Edition is powered by a 3.8-litre twin-turbo flat-six engine, producing over 640bhp, ensuring exhilarating performance. Unique design cues, including commemorative badges, exclusive paint jobs, and bespoke interior finishes, set this edition apart. Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years Edition: Design
As the name suggests, this model commemorates the 50th anniversary of the original 911 Turbo, with production limited to just 1,974 units in honour of its debut year. The 911 Turbo 50 Years Edition pays homage to Porsche’s racing heritage with its design, which includes graphics reminiscent of the legendary 911 RSR Turbo concept. Moreover, it sports distinctive Turbo badging, special vinyl decals, and unique Turbonite accents that highlight its historical significance.
The classic Heritage Design Package offers fresh Aventurine Green Metallic paint with Satin White graphics. This package also includes the 1964 Porsche crest on the hood and Sport Classic wheels. Additionally, the rear features gold-finished Turbo 50 and Porsche logos.
Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years Edition: Mechanical Setup
The 911 Turbo 50 Years Edition is based on the current Turbo S, known for its strong performance. It features a 3.7-litre twin-turbo flat-six engine, belting out 641bhp of maximum power and 800Nm of peak torque. This enables the car to go from 0 to 100km/h in 2.7 seconds, with a top speed of 330km/h. This is more than double the power of the original 930 Turbo from 1974, highlighting how much the car has evolved over the decades.

Coming to the cabin, the special edition model is adorned with classic Mackenzie tartan on the seats and doors, and the exterior colour is echoed in interior highlights. The Heritage Design Package further enhances the cabin with green-finished dials on the instrument cluster and the Sport Chrono clock.

Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years Edition: Price Details
Priced at Rs 4.05 crore, the price of the 911 Turbo 50 Years edition is more than that of the current Turbo S (Rs 3.35 crore) by about Rs 7 lakh. Furthermore, it also costs Rs 2 crore more than the 911 Carrera base model (Rs 1.99 crore) and roughly Rs 1.26 crore more than the Carrera 4 GTS (Rs 2.75 crore). All mentioned prices are ex-showroom figures.
Notably, the 911 Carrera and Carrera 4 GTS available in India are built on the current 992.2 generation of the 911, whereas the 50 Years Edition and Turbo S are based on the previous 992.1 generation.
