Automobili Pininfarina, a luxury vehicles enterprise, has revealed its new PURA Vision design concept ahead of its global debut at Monterey Car Week (August 17-20). According to the official release, the brand-new concept, which the automaker calls the 'Electric Luxury Utility Vehicle (e-LUV)' will serve as the foundation for upcoming pure electric luxury vehicles. The concept will debut internationally along with the previously revealed Battista Edizione Nino Farina hyper GT, and another new production vehicle that claims to offer a different but equally impressive driving experience. Dimensions-wise, the concept is 5,215mm long and 2,147mm broad, and 1,641mm tall, and exudes the impression of a large vehicle. Here are further updates about this new concept, which is scheduled to officially debut later this month.
Pininfarina PURA Vision Concept: Exterior
Although the concept includes several futuristic elements, its styling pays tribute to Pininfarina's iconic vehicles from the past, claims the automaker. Up front, the car has a distinct look with its sleek and concealed headlights, a grille that spans the whole width, DRLs featuring L.E.S.S. nanofibre lighting technology, and a noticeable front splitter. With a dual-tone paint job and anodized aluminium beltline surrounding the glasshouse, the concept exhibits a sporty appearance. Further, it also has cameras instead of traditional mirrors, ultra-slim LED taillights, as well as, carbon fiber bumpers. It rolls on 23-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, the cabin offers a 2+2 seating arrangement and has a look inspired by opulent sailing ships. The core of the front seats is supported from below, giving them the appearance of floating off the ground. Additionally, the car features a center console that resembles a sail's boom, a spacious dashboard with two tones, and a multifunctional steering wheel with a flat bottom. Other notable features inside consist of a panoramic glass roof, a center console-mounted touchscreen infotainment unit, a head-up display, a driver-configurable digital instrument cluster, a wine cooler situated between the rear seats, and more. The company states that have used semi-aniline leather, carbon fiber, and charcoal leather to create the interior of the car.

Pininfarina PURA Vision Concept: Powertrain
The production-spec model is said to feature an all-electric powertrain. However, the automaker has not revealed any information regarding mechanical specifications yet. More details on the same are anticipated to become public at the international premiere.
