A patent image of the upcoming Ola Electric car has been leaked. While the electric four-wheeler in the patent image is most likely to be in the concept stage, the prototype could be slightly different, given the headlights and oversized wheels. The leaked image of the electric vehicle gives us a glimpse of the company's future design language. The Ola vehicle embraces a familiar and minimalistic design with few lines, drawing parallels with Tesla sedans (Model S and Model 3). Up front, the Ola EV gets a bumper with aerodynamic crevices, a small air intake to cool batteries, and sleek headlamps that are connected to a wide LED light bar. The sides of the car have subtle body lines, ensuring that air smoothly passes through.

In addition, the vehicle features a low-set bonnet, steep rake A-pillars, flared wheel arches, aero-optimised wheels, flush door handles, and a coupe-like roofline. The car's 4-door coupe body style is claimed to have a drag coefficient of less than 0.21. Another highlight is the absence of a grille, which is common in electric vehicles. But, the car does not give us a sneak peek at its rear.
The upcoming vehicle is the manufacturer's first electric car, which is scheduled to come to market sometime in 2024. In terms of pricing, the electric car could start from Rs 18 lakh to Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom).
Ola Electric Car: Battery, Range
The all-new Ola electric car is expected to draw power from a 70-80kWh battery pack, yielding a claimed range of around 500 kilometres on a single charge. However, there is no official confirmation from the EV company yet. Ola also claims that the car can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in under 4 seconds.
Ola Electric Car: Features
Based on a previous set of teaser images, the upcoming vehicle is likely to come with an octagonal, two-spoke steering wheel with haptic controls, a central infotainment screen, a free-standing digital instrument cluster, keyless and handleless doors, assisted driving capabilities, and in-house MoveOS software. All this speaks volumes about its minimalist design.
