In order to reach deeper in the Indian market, Nissan launched its 200th dealership in India. The latest dealership will be situated in Mumbai and will be known as Ritu Nissan.

This dealership will retail both Nissan and Datsun cars and will take care of sales and service support for both the brands. In what is seen as a very aggressive move by a carmaker, Nissan has launched 18 new dealerships this year. Nissan is aiming at 300 sales and service touch points in India by March 2016. The Japanese carmaker already exists in 124 cities in India and plans to go as close to the customer as possible.

Commenting on the dealership opening, Arun Malhotra, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd., said, “At Nissan India, we are proud to reach this significant milestone in such a short period of time. Establishing 200 outlets in a span of just five years not only makes our network one of the fastest growing in India, but puts us well on track to achieve our target of setting up 300 dealerships across the country by the end of fiscal year 2016. This expansion further strengthens Nissan’s commitment to its customers by bringing its world class products closer to its ever increasing consumer base."
