For the third year running, Nissan's compact SUV, the Magnite, has sold over 30,000 units, marking a significant milestone for the brand. The Japanese automaker also revealed that in January this year, the Magnite's domestic sales reached the one million mark. In the fiscal year 2023–24, Nissan sold 30,146 units of Magnite in India. This is a little less than the 32,546 units sold in the previous fiscal year and the record 33,905 units sold in FY2021-22. Furthermore, since the Magnite's launch in December 2020, the company has been able to export more than 30,000 units to international markets. The compact SUV is shipped to several nations, including Uganda, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, and Indonesia.

Nissan Magnite SUV: Feature Suite
The Nissan Magnite's features include an 8-inch touchscreen entertainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 7-inch digital instrument panel, and auto air conditioning with rear vents. The XV and XV Premium trim levels also offer ambient lighting, JBL speakers, puddle lamps, and wireless phone charging. Safety features on the SUV include electronic stability control (ESC), a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), dual front airbags, a 360-degree camera, and a hill-start assist.
Nissan Magnite SUV: Powertrain
Two different engine options are offered for the SUV: a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated (NA) engine with 71bhp and 96Nm, and a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with 99bhp of maximum power and 160Nm of peak power. The turbo engine comes standard with a five-speed manual gearbox and an optional CVT that reduces torque to 152Nm. There is now a five-speed AM version of the naturally aspirated petrol engine available.
Nissan Magnite SUV: Competitors and Colour Options
The Nissan Magnite competes with several models in the segment, including the Hyundai Exter, Kia Sonet, Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, and Renault Kiger.
The five-seater SUV is available in four variants: XE, XL, XV, and XV Premium. The four dual-tone colour schemes are Pearl White with Onyx Black, Flare Garnet Red with Onyx Black, Tourmaline Brown with Onyx Black, and Vivid Blue with Storm White. Meanwhile, Blade Silver, Flare Garnet Red, Onyx Black, Sandstone Brown, and Storm White are the five monotone shades.

Nissan Magnite Facelift Incoming
The Magnite is undergoing a mid-life redesign by Nissan, and the model is expected to go on sale in India later this year. Recently, a disguised test mule of the Nissan Magnite Facelift was spotted cruising through the roads, raising the possibility that the SUV is almost ready to be rolled out. The latest changes will come in the form of visual improvements, new features, and more safety technology.
