The Red Edition celebrates Nissan Magnite's sales which recently crossed 50,000 deliveries and 1 lakh bookings.
The Nissan Magnite recently achieved a milestone after it crossed 50,000 deliveries and 1 lakh bookings. On the same occasion, Nissan announced a new edition of the Magnite called the Red Edition. The new car will be based on the existing XV trim and will be offered in three variants including Magnite XV MT Red Edition, Turbo XV MT Red Edition, and Turbo XV CVT Red Edition.
Bookings for the car have officially opened with the launch following on July 18. Starting with the exterior, the Red Edition rides on 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, which the XL variants miss out on. In terms of cosmetics, the car gets a silver-coloured side cladding along with red accents that cover the front grille. Also present are front bumper cladding, wheel arch and body side cladding.
On the inside, the Magnite Red edition has been upgraded to features including a wireless charger and ambient mood lighting. The car is based on the XV variant, which means it will come with additional features including an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wifi connectivity, a 7.0-inch TFT instrument cluster and LED DRLs.
In terms of powertrain, the Magnite Red edition will come with two petrol engine options including a naturally aspirated 1.0-litre unit and a 1.0-litre turbocharged unit. The NA iteration delivers 71bhp and 96Nm of peak torque while the turbo-petrol version outputs 99bhp and 160Nm of peak torque. While the naturally aspirated just gets the 5-speed manual transmission, the turbo unit comes with an option of either a 5-speed manual or a CVT unit.
