In terms of safety, there may be an improvement with the addition of six airbags. However, electronic stability control (ESC), ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors will remain available.

Although Nissan hasn't revealed anything, the new Magnite is expected to carry over with the same 1.0-litre turbocharged and 1.0-litre naturally aspirated (NA) petrol engine options. The former churns out 100bhp and 160Nm (152Nm in CVT), while the latter develops 72bhp and 96Nm. A five-speed AMT and a five-speed manual are the possible gearbox options.
