Nissan Magnite EZ-Shift Introductory Price of Rs 6.50 Lakh Extended till November 30

The Nissan Magnite EZ-Shift gets a 5-speed automatic manual transmission linked to a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine.

About a month ago, Nissan Motor India launched the Magnite EZ-Shift in the Indian market, with prices starting from Rs 6.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The carmaker opened the purchase window for the sub-4m automatic SUV on October 10, 2023, for a token amount of Rs 11,000. Now, it has decided to extend the introductory pricing for those who take a test drive and make reservations for the SUV before December 1, 2023. Till then (Nov. 30), the prices for the most affordable Magnite AMT will stand at Rs 6.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Nissan says that deliveries of the vehicle will commence later this year. 

Nissan Magnite EZ-Shift: Engine

Unveiled alongside the Kuro Edition, the Magnite EZ-Shift gets a 5-speed AMT linked to a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, making it an affordable alternative to the turbo-petrol CVT. That said, this AMT unit is available with the special Kuro Edition as well as with XE, XL, XV, & XV Premium variants.

Nissan Magnite EZ-Shift: Performance

As for the power and torque figures, the NA petrol motor with an automatic transmission delivers 71bhp and 96Nm, respectively. The ARAI-claimed fuel efficiency of the Magnite AMT is 19.70km/l, while the manual variant yields a claimed fuel efficiency of 19.35km/l.

Other than that, the Magnite remains untouched. However, Nissan recently introduced a new shade, called Vivid Blue, which with a black roof will be available only with the higher-end trims of the Magnite AMT.

Nissan Magnite EZ-Shift: Features

On the feature front, the Magnite EZ-Shift offers Dual Driving mode – automatic and manual, anti-stall and kick-down, as well as an Intelligent Creep function that enables you to drive the car at low speeds by releasing the brake pedal without having to use the accelerator. On offer are also hill-hold assist, ESC, and traction control.

Nissan Magnite EZ-Shift: Market Rivals

In terms of market competition, the new Nissan Magnite AMT goes toe-to-toe with other AMT-based SUVs, such as the Tata Punch, Nexon, Hyundai Exter, Renault Kiger, and the Mahindra XUV300.

Nissan Magnite Kuro Edition Gets Two Engine Options

The Nissan Magnite Kuro Edition, based on the top-spec XV trim, gets an all-black treatment inside-out, as its name suggests ('Kuro' in Japanese means Black). Under the hood, the car gets two engine options: a 99bhp, 160Nm, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 71bhp, 96Nm, 1.0-litre petrol engine. Both engines come standard with a 5-speed manual transmission, while the turbo-petrol also has a CVT option. Price-wise, the Kuro Edition starts at Rs 8.27 lakh and goes up to Rs 10.46 lakh. Prices are ex-showroom.
