Called the Nissan Virtual Showroom, the facility has been started only for the 2020 Nissan Kicks. Also, all Datsun products can now also be booked online.
Jumping onto the latest digital bandwagon, Nissan India has launched its virtual car sales platform today, and it's called the Nissan Virtual Showroom. Accessible through Nissan India's standard website, it allows prospective buyers to take a 360-degree virtual tour of the 2020 BS6 Kicks. Customers will even have the option of booking the vehicle & completing the purchase process online. As of now, the updated Kicks and the GT-R are the only products listed on Nissan India's website, since the Sunny and Micra were discontinued a while ago.
Commenting on this shift to digital sales, Mr Rakesh Srivastava (MD - Nissan Motor India) said, 'We are strengthening our commitment in line with our customer-centric approach by bringing the showroom experience to customers’ location through a virtual showroom, with a digitally-enabled car purchase journey. It allows our customers to experience and own our products with complete confidence, convenience and zero physical contact.'
Though without a 360-degree viewing feature, Datsun India's product portfolio (BS6 GO & GO+) has also been made available to book & purchase online.
After the launch of the updated BS6 Kicks, which gets a new 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol motor, all eyes are set on the launch of Nissan's new sub-4m SUV, rumoured to be called the Magnite. It's been designed in Japan specifically for the Indian market and is expected to arrive sometime around September this year.
