Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. has revealed its third electric concept, the Hyper Tourer, which will be on exhibit later this month at the Japan Mobility Show. Nissan hails the minivan electric concept as the future of mobility, saying it ''focuses on nurturing and reinforcing the bond between people as they journey together.'' According to the manufacturer's official press release, the spirit of omotenashi (Japanese hospitality) blends well with cutting-edge technologies like autonomous driving technology, V2X (Vehicle To Everything), and others in the all-new concept. The V2X functionality, along with the large capacity battery, enables the power supply to residences, shops, and workplaces.
In terms of mechanical parts, Nissan has only talked about a high-capacity solid-state battery in the floor, which provides the concept with a low center of gravity, and an all-wheel-drive system using Nissan's e-4orce torque-vectoring technology. More details on the concept are anticipated to be revealed at the upcoming Japan Mobility Show. Until then, let's take a look at the recently highlighted details regarding this all-electric compact minivan concept.
Nissan Hyper Tourer Concept: Exterior and Interior
The smooth body panels and crisp character lines on the exterior of the fully electric minivan concept are perfectly in line with classic Japanese design. The aerodynamic performance of the concept version is improved by the sides flowing diagonally from the front to the rear fender. The concept also has a white line around the center that harbours the headlights and signature illumination. The Kumiko-patterned wheels and delicate, linear body lines of the concept enhance its overall appeal and make it different from the rest in its category.
The all-new Hyper Tourer has a roomy cabin because of Nissan's EV Technology Vision, which integrates small components and high-energy density all-solid-state batteries. This modern automotive packaging creates a low center of gravity, allowing the car's e-4ORCE all-wheel control system to perform smoothly during acceleration and deceleration.
The automated driving capability allows the driver and occupants to communicate in an effortless manner, and the 360-degree front seats permit face-to-face conversations among front- and rear-seat passengers. A wearable display for passengers in the rear streamlines navigation and audio management. Moreover, the artificial intelligence system monitors people's biometric data and optimise audio and lights to their preferences.
