Mercedes-Benz has recently announced that it will launch ten new models in India in 2023. The carmaker has also confirmed that the next-gen Mercedes-Benz GLC will make its way to the Indian market in December this year.
Mercedes-Benz India recently revealed that it is planning on launching ten new models in 2023. As the luxury automaker launched the all-new AMG E53 Cabriolet in India to kick off the new year, it also confirmed that a new GLC SUV is set to arrive in the Indian market by the end of this year. The latest generation GLC SUV is currently unavailable for purchase in India after being discontinued a few months ago. On the other hand, it is expected that the next-generation GLC will be a significant improvement over the current model. So without any further ado, let us have a closer look at what can we expect from this upcoming model in terms of style, performance, and more.
Speaking of the exterior, the revised front fascia of the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC will have horizontal DRLs and new LED headlamp clusters that continue to the single-slat chrome front grille. Additionally, it will get new alloy wheels that are 18-inch in diameter and smaller tail lamps that curve toward the centre of the tailgate. The new GLC's expanded wheelbase will likely make it longer than its predecessor.

The next-gen Mercedes-Benz GLC's interior will include a larger 11.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system positioned on the dashboard and a 12.3-inch driver-facing digital display. The second iteration of MBUX is most likely to support the system because the SUV will also benefit from cutting-edge features like a wireless charging pad, heated and cooled seats, and improved leather upholstery. It is anticipated that ADAS technology will be available for the new GLC.
The new Mercedes-Benz GLC is available in plug-in hybrid and mild hybrid powertrain configurations in the global market. It is expected that the latter one would be offered in India, which is linked to a 48-volt battery and an integrated starter-generator. Once launched, the 2023 GLC SUV will rival the likes of the Audi Q5, the Lexus NX, the BMW X3, and the Volvo XC60.
