The next-generation Skoda Kodiaq is spotted testing in India without any camouflage for the first time. It has split headlamps, a butterfly-shaped grille, a white colour scheme, and a honeycomb-patterned front bumper with side-mounted vertical air dams. The spotted test mule also sports C-shaped wraparound LED taillights, new alloy wheels, a reworked rear bumper, and an ascending lower window line close to the C-pillar. Notably, the new Kodiaq made its global debut in October last year. Although there is no confirmation, it is expected to go on sale in India either by the end of 2024 or early 2025. Here's all you need to know about the engine, features, and other specifications of the upcoming Skoda SUV.

There are no spy shots of the interior at this time, but the India-spec SUV is likely to mirror its global counterpart. In terms of features, it is expected to include a heads-up display, a 13-inch touchscreen, wireless phone charging, a panoramic sunroof, and a 10.25-inch digital driver's display. The SUV will likely have a 360-degree camera, up to nine airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), and ADAS with features such as blind spot monitoring, automated emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane assist, and parking aid for safety.
New Skoda Kodiaq: Powertrain
Multiple powertrain options are available for the new Kodiaq in the international market such as a 2.0-litre TSI with all-wheel drive (201bhp), a 1.5-litre TSI petrol with mild hybrid technology (148bhp), and a 2.0-litre TDI diesel with both front-wheel drive (151bhp) and all-wheel drive (201bhp). Skoda has equipped the SUV with a plug-in hybrid powertrain (a 1.5-litre TSI engine and an electric motor) for the first time. It has a pure electric range of more than 100 kilometres. Although the carmaker has not released any specific information, the India-spec model is expected to keep the same 2-litre turbo-petrol engine under its hood.
