Land Rover will launch the new Range Rover Evoque in India next month, with the bookings for the compact SUV now open.

The 2016 Evoque is powered by the familiar 2.0-litre, turbocharged, four-cylinder engine that produces 238 bhp. The motor is mated to a nine-speed automatic gearbox. Land Rover also has a new TD4 engine for the Evoque, which comes in 148 bhp and 178 bhp state of tunes.

Rohit Suri, President, Jaguar Land Rover India Ltd (JLRIL), said: “Over the years, the response to the Range Rover Evoque has been phenomenal across the world and India has been no exception. With its striking lines, muscular shoulder and tapered roof, the 2016 Range Rover Evoque sets itself apart from its contemporaries and is loved by the young at heart who want to make an ultimate statement of their style and individuality. The fabulous design, coupled with class-leading technology and luxury features make the 2016 Range Rover Evoque an unbeatable choice.”

Speaking of visual changes, the new Evoque comes with an updated bumper design, with new LED fog lamps, two new grille designs, and bonnet design changes completing the refreshed front fascia. Elsewhere, the latest Range Rover comes with a new tailgate spoiler and three new alloy wheel designs.

Inside, the 2016 Evoque features new seat and door casings, with instrumental binnacle also redesigned as part of the overhaul.
