Nissan officially revealed the 2025 Kicks in the United States. The all-new SUV sports a fresh look along with enhanced technology and features. It is positioned in the compact crossover segment with a high-end sneakers-inspired design. It is worth noting that the SUV has been in testing for quite some time and was finally unveiled in production-ready form. The car boasts a new 2.0-litre petrol mill that packs more power and an all-wheel-drive option for the first time. In comparison to the previous-generation model, the new Kicks is nearly as tall, slightly wider, and about 3 inches longer. The manufacturer claims that the 2025 iteration has the best cargo volume and ground clearance in its segment. Additionally, the SUV and the Mitsubishi XForce, available in several foreign countries, appear to share many similarities. Although Nissan has not yet disclosed the pricing details, the Kicks will come in S, SV, and SR trim levels. It will be available at Nissan showrooms in the US and Canada later this summer.

New Nissan Kicks SUV: Design Elements

Nissan Kicks Side Profile

Design-wise, the SUV has undergone significant alterations, including the replacement of the brand's V-motion grille. Instead, the car now features a broad grille with horizontal slats. Furthermore, DRLs and extremely sleek headlights are located on either side. All in all, the SUV boasts a contemporary look. The upcoming Nissan offering also features quite high arches decked out in a matte black colour, which contrasts with distinctive alloy wheels. The model's muscular rear profile has LED lights housed in a wide black area spanning the width of the vehicle.

New Nissan Kicks SUV: Engine and Gearbox Options

Under the bonnet, a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol unit with 140bhp of peak power and 190Nm of maximum torque propells the Nissan Kicks. On the transmission front, a CVT will be used in conjunction with this motor to provide power to the car's all-wheel-drive system.

New Nissan Kicks SUV: Cabin and Features

2025 Nissan Kicks Interior1

Speaking of the interior, the maker asserts that the 2025 Kicks' cabin sports higher-quality materials as compared to its predecessor. There are two layers to the dashboard's layout. In addition to a visually appealing design, the model boasts several exciting features. These include touch-sensitive HVAC controls, four USB-C ports, a wireless charging pad, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, a panoramic sunroof, and, on certain variants, headrest-mounted Bose speakers. The 12.3-inch infotainment screen, which is the focal point of the cabin, is the most remarkable component. The top-of-the-line models come equipped with ProPilot Assist System, intelligent cruise control, and lane keep assist, among other Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) features.

New Nissan Kicks SUV: Will it Come to India?

For those unaware, the Japanese automaker stopped selling the Kicks SUV in India in 2023 after experiencing poor sales performance. We may anticipate the company bringing back the model to Indian shores given the car's recent substantial updates and the country's rapidly growing SUV market. Nissan currently sells only one model in India, the Magnite. However, it is planning to bring a range of models to the domestic market like the Qashqai, the Leaf EV, the X-trail, and the Juke.
