Mini has pulled the wraps off the new, third-generation Countryman C SUV. Positioned as an entry-level crossover in Mini's SUV line-up, the Mini Countryman C comes with integrated mild-hybrid technology that supports the internal combustion engine during accelerations. With this update, the firm's SUV range now comprises the Countryman C, the Countryman S, and the all-electric Countryman E.
Mini Countryman C: Dimensions, Design
The new Mini Countryman C has grown in proportions. It is 130mm longer and 80mm taller than the model it replaces, and boasts of 202mm ground clearance for better safety and comfort on uneven roads. The Mini Countryman C's exterior design features a reworked octagonal front grille, unique LED headlights and taillights, an upright silhouette with light-alloy wheels (offered in various designs and sizes ranging from 17 to 21 inches), Piano Black-finished roof rails (standard), short overhangs, etc. Its C-pillar has also been redesigned.

Mini Countryman C: Interior
The interior features a minimalist look, with the dashboard dominated by a round OLED display that houses an infotainment system and a digital instrument cluster. A panoramic glass roof offers all-round visibility, while a back seat can move up to 130mm, creating extra legroom in the rear or more cargo space. Other bits include standard sports seats, adjustable backrests, and Mini Experience Modes.
Notably, the Countryman C will be the first Mini to offer the option of partially automated Level 2 driving on motorway-like routes at speeds of up to 60km/h, provided that the driver is ready to intervene at any time.
Mini Countryman C: Powertrain
Under the hood, the SUV gets a 1.5-litre 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that is hooked up to mild-hybrid technology. Power and torque figures are rated at 168bhp and 280Nm, respectively. Power is sent to the front wheels via a dual-clutch transmission. This powertrain setup allows the SUV to go from 0 to 100km/h in 8.3 seconds, while the top speed is marked at 212km/h.

Overseas, four different trim variants will be offered with the new crossover: Essential, Classic, Favoured and JCW, with each offering distinctive design elements and various interior finishes. Moreover, Mini also has plans to offer the diesel-powered Countryman in the future; however, the company has yet to reveal its specifications.
