Mini India has launched the new Cooper S at Rs 44.90 lakhs (ex-showroom) and the all-electric Countryman EV at Rs 54.90 lakhs (ex-showroom). The fourth-generation Mini Cooper S replaces the outgoing model, while the Countryman EV is the brand's first all-electric vehicle to be offered in the country. The new Cooper S has a bolder design with a longer wheelbase and larger wheels while keeping its short overhangs and compact hood. It features a distinctive octagonal grille, circular LED headlights with customisable light signatures, and minimalist styling. The profile highlights redesigned alloy wheels and flush door handles, while the rear showcases triangular LED taillights with OLED technology and a Union Jack motif.
The Countryman EV, built on the BMW iX1 platform, shares many design elements with the Cooper S, such as the octagonal grille, adaptive LED daytime running lights, and updated headlights and taillights. Unique features of the Countryman E include a special C-pillar treatment and standard 20-inch wheels.
