The GLC SUV has just been introduced by Mercedes-Benz India, with prices starting at Rs 73.50 lakh for the 300 4Matic petrol model and Rs 74.50 lakh for the 220d 4Matic diesel version. Both are ex-showroom figures. The premium automaker announced at the launch that the new GLC has had over 1,500 reservations thus far. Customers can book the recently released Mercedes-Benz GLC SUV, deliveries of which are now in progress, for a nominal of Rs 1.50 lakh at any authorised dealership or online on the company's official website.
As a part of the improvement, the new GLC has increased in length, measuring 60mm longer than the previous model at 4,716mm and having a 15mm longer wheelbase at 2,888mm. Further, seven airbags and an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) with active lane keep assist, active brake assist, and more are included in its safety pack. New Mercedes-Benz GLC: Powertrain
Mechanically, the SUV can be acquired with a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol or a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel motor. The GLC 300 variant has a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-petrol setup that cranks out 254bhp of peak power at 5,800rpm and 400Nm of maximum torque between 2,000 and 3,000rpm. On the other side, the 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel unit generates 94bhp of maximum power at 3,800rpm and 440Nm of peak torque between 1,800 and 2,800rpm. These two available motors now boast mild hybrid capabilities, which allow for the additional 23bhp and 200Nm of power. Additionally, these units are paired with an automatic transmission, and the car comes with 4 Matic off-road technology. The GLC SUV offers several driving modes, such as Comfort, Eco, Sport, and Individual. In the Sport mode, the GLC can reach 100km/h in just 6.2 seconds, according to the company.
