New Mercedes-Benz CLA to Mark Global Debut on March 13; Here's All You Need to Know

Mercedes-Benz will unveil the new CLA on 13 March, marking a major evolution in its entry-level sedan lineup. Built on the MMA platform, it will be available in both electric and petrol variants. This highly anticipated launch follows the concept’s debut in Munich over a year ago, introducing cutting-edge technology and modern design. The new CLA retains its concept version's sleek, coupe-like silhouette, featuring spark looking headlamps and taillights featuring the iconic three-pointed star. Images highlight bold taillights, enhancing its premium appeal. With the C-Class growing in size and price, the CLA now serves as Mercedes' entry-level sedan, alongside the A-Class sedan in Europe.

Inside, the CLA will come with Mercedes' MB.OS, an AI-powered system with a high-performance onboard computer. This technology supports Level 2++ driver assistance features, providing an advanced and intuitive driving experience.
New Mercedes-Benz CLA: Expected Powertrain
The petrol variant is expected to come with a 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine in multiple tuning options. It will be paired with a new electrified 8-speed DCT gearbox, delivering an electric boost. Front-wheel drive will be standard, with 4Matic all-wheel drive available as an option.
The new Mercedes CLA will be available in both electric and petrol variants, offering advanced technology and strong performance. The CLA EV will feature a rear-wheel-drive motor with a two-speed transmission, while a 4Matic all-wheel-drive version will provide extra power.

Mercedes-Benz has not confirmed the CLA’s launch in India. If introduced, it will sit below the C-Class and compete with the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe, attracting buyers looking for a compact luxury sedan with a sporty design.
