Following its international debut, the second-generation Maserati GranTurismo will arrive in India on August 30, 2024. The Grand Tourer will be offered in both petrol and electric versions. The former is set to arrive here first, followed by the all-electric variant (Folgore) later. The all-new Maserati GranTurismo retains the low-slung stance and clean lines of the previous generation model while reflecting a progressive style. It gets a large Maserati Trident insignia within a grille, a splitter, large vents on the front bumper, sleek vertical headlights, and slim triangle-shaped taillights. The all-electric Folgore variant looks the same, but new bumpers and fender badging distinguish it as a battery-powered car.

New Maserati GranTurismo: Powertrain
The new GranTurismo features a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 engine located behind the front axle. This engine produces 483bhp and 600Nm in the base Modena model, and 550bhp and 650Nm in the performance-oriented Trofeo version. The former goes from 0 to 100km/h in 3.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 302km/h, while the latter claims a sprint time of 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 320km/h. Both models come with an all-wheel drive. Though Maserati has yet to announce, we expect both petrol-powered models to hit our markets next month.
The GranTurismo Folgore comes with a tri-motor all-wheel-drive system with a combined power rating of 751bhp and 1,350Nm. It has a maximum speed of 325km/h and 0 to 100km/h acceleration time of 2.7 seconds. The electric variant features a 92.5 kWh battery that allows for a range of up to 450 kilometres on a full charge.
New Maserati GranTurismo: Interior and Features
A lot of the conventional buttons inside the GranTurismo are swapped with touch-based controls and digital screens, marking a major interior makeover. In addition to a huge central touchscreen and digital instrument display, the cockpit now includes an adjustable digital screen in place of the traditional analog dashboard watch. There's another 8.8-inch touchscreen underneath the primary 12.3-inch screen that handles the air conditioning and seat adjustments.
New Maserati GranTurismo: Expected Price
The starting price of the GranTurismo is expected to go beyond Rs 2.5 crore (ex-showroom, India). While the petrol-powered model will lock horns with the Bentley Continental GT, the Ferrari Roma, the Aston Martin Vantage, and the Porsche 911, the electric version will go up against the Audi RS e-tron GT and the Porsche Taycan.
