The highly anticipated launch of the all-new Maruti Suzuki Swift is imminent in India, set for May 9th. Just ahead of this grand unveiling, tantalizing details regarding its mechanical specifications have surfaced. As previously mentioned, Suzuki is introducing a new 1.2-litre 3-cylinder Z-series petrol engine, boasting 82bhp and 108Nm of torque. Notably, leaked documents reveal an impressive mileage of 25.72km. In comparison to its predecessor, the K-series engine, the Z-series sacrifices a bit of power and torque but compensates with superior fuel efficiency. The K-series makes 89bhp and 113Nm of torque and a fuel efficiency of 22.38 km/l. Later, Maruti Suzuki will unveil a CNG-powered version as well.
New Maruti Suzuki Swift: Features
The upcoming Maruti Suzuki Swift is sure to impress with an array of features. Among them are a large 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an Arkamys sound system, rear AC vents, a convenient wireless charger, and both A and C-type USB connections. With LED fog lights and six airbags, it's upping its safety game. It also has an electronic stability control (ESP), anti-lock braking system (ABS), and three-point seatbelts for the rear.

The design includes a redesigned grille, new bumpers, and LED headlights that look more streamlined. Despite that, the recognisable shape of the current model will stay the same.
New Maruti Suzuki Swift: Price, Rivals
Even though May 9th is the probable launch date, interested buyers can reserve the new Swift today for a reservation fee of Rs 11,000. The new Swift is expected to cost between Rs 6.5 lakh and Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom).

When the Maruti Suzuki Swift arrives in India, it will face off against rivals like the Tata Punch (priced between Rs 6.13 lakh and Rs 9.60 lakh) and the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios (priced between Rs 5.92 lakh and Rs 8.23 lakh).
