The Invicto is the name given to Maruti Suzuki India's anticipated new multi-purpose vehicle (MPV), which is based on the Toyota Innova Hycross. While bookings for the brand-new Invicto are slated to commence on June 19, the car's pricing details will be revealed on July 5. For those unaware, the Invicto will be sold through the company's upscale Nexa dealerships. In our market, it would be the firm's first model with a price tag of over Rs 20 lakh. Following the Ertiga and the XL6, it will also be Maruti Suzuki's third MPV. The auto major will offer the Invicto as its first Toyota car in India under its own brand name. The leading Indian carmaker, for its part, has previously given Toyota two models: the Baleno, which the Japanese automaker sells as the Glanza, and the formerly-known Vitara Brezza, which it marketed as the Urban Cruiser. Here's all you need to know about the upcoming offering from Maruti Suzuki.

New Maruti Suzuki Invicto: Platform and Rivals
Toyota will develop and supply Maruti Suzuki with the new Invicto MPV in the same Bidadi facility where the Grand Vitara is made. Based on Toyota's TNGA-C framework and utilising its 2.0-litre strong-hybrid engine, the Invicto will need Maruti to shell out royalty to Toyota. Additionally, Maruti Suzuki is anticipated to keep offering the Invicto in both 7- and 8-seater versions. Consequently, the Invicto will be slightly more expensive than the comparable Innova Hycross model. The Innova Hycross petrol models range in price from Rs 18.55 to Rs 19.45 lakh, while strong hybrid versions cost between Rs 25.03 lakh and Rs 29.99 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.
As far as the market competitors are concerned, the new MPV is going to face off against the likes of the Hyundai Alcazar, the Mahindra Scorpio N, the Mahindra XUV700, and the Kia Carnival.
New Maruti Suzuki Invicto: Design
In terms of design, the Invicto and the Innova Hycross are anticipated to have a similar design silhouette. To differentiate between the two models, the Toyota logo will be swapped out for the brand's logo on the front grille. The brand-new Maruti MPV is expected to make its debut with a two-slat chrome grille with a hexagonal mesh design, according to spy images that have recently surfaced online. The broad air dams, lower-mounted LED DRLs, and lower bumper mounting will all be carried over from the Toyota sibling's front fascia.
New Maruti Suzuki Invicto: Interior
It is expected that the manufacturer will make a few minor interior adjustments. A big, free-standing infotainment screen with wireless mobile connectivity and the same dashboard design is expected to remain. A 360-degree camera with front and rear parking sensors, motorised Ottoman captain chairs in the second row, ambient lighting, and a panoramic sunroof are other potential upgrades for this Maruti Suzuki MPV.

New Maruti Suzuki Invicto: Powertrain
The manufacturer has stated that the 183bhp, 2.0-litre strong-hybrid powertrain mated to the e-CVT gearbox from the Hycross would power the Invicto. The 2.0-litre gasoline engine with a maximum power output of 173bhp is anticipated to be available on entry-level trims and paired with a CVT gearbox. This is significant since it will be the first product from Maruti Suzuki to only be offered with automatic transmissions.
