Maruti Suzuki just launched the 2024 Dzire sedan in India at a starting price of Rs 6.79 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom). The 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire is a generational upgrade over the outgoing model and is 10mm taller. Though based on the new Swift, the 2024 Dzire has a completely different exterior characterised by 'Crystal vision' headlamps, sleek LED daytime running lamps, a full-width chrome strip, 15-inch dual-tone alloys, a shark-fin antenna, an integrated lip spoiler, and new LED taillamps with Y-shaped elements. Seven exterior paint finishes are available – Alluring Blue, Nutmeg Brown, Gallant Red, Bluish Black, Arctic White, Magma Grey, and Splendid Silver.
Maruti Suzuki offers the 2024 Dzire in four variants: LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+. The mid-spec VXi and ZXi variants are also available with a CNG powertrain. Speaking of, the new sedan gets a 1.2-litre three-cylinder Z series engine that powers the Swift. The petrol engine is tuned to produce 80bhp and 112Nm of peak torque, while the CNG-powered model makes 69bhp and 101.8Nm. Transmission options are a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT.
