Maruti Suzuki has officially released the first teaser image of the new-generation Dzire sedan, which is set to launch on November 11 in India. Per leaked images surfaced a few days ago, the upcoming sedan takes a turn and gets unique design elements to differentiate itself from the Swift hatchback. Bookings for the new Dzire are underway for a token amount of Rs 11,000. Interested buyers can make reservations by either visiting their nearby Arena dealership or the company's online portal.
Going by the teaser, the fourth-generation Maruti Suzuki Dzire's front fascia is marked out by a wider grille (with horizontal slats), slimmer LED headlamps (with integrated DRLs), and a sportier bumper. The vehicle also gets reworked fog lamps at the front. Since Maruti Suzuki provides a look at the car's front end only, expect the rear end to feature redesigned LED taillamps, a full-width chrome strip connecting the taillamps, and a boot lid-integrated spoiler. The updated Dzire will roll on a set of new alloys.

We have been only offered a brief glimpse into the cabin so far, but expect the upcoming Dzire to pack in a 9.0-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system (with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto), an analogue instrument panel, a new console for AC functions, a two-spoke steering wheel, automatic climate control, a 360-degree camera, and cruise control. The company will also likely add a segment-first electric sunroof.
New Maruti Suzuki Dzire: Engine
The upcoming Maruti Suzuki Dzire will be mechanically related to the Swift, therefore it will draw power from a Z-series, 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine. It remains to be seen how much power and torque the sedan will produce, but here's what the Swift makes with the same engine – 80bhp at 5,700rpm and 112Nm of torque at 4,300rpm. Maruti Suzuki is expected to offer the CNG-powered Dzire as well, albeit at a later stage. At launch, the new-generation Dzire will likely be available with a 5-speed manual transmission along with an optional 5-speed AMT.
