The spy photos of second-generation Kia Seltos have surfaced online for the first time with some noticeable front and rear improvements over the previous model, such as squarish headlamps with LED daytime running lights, a rectangular-shaped grille with vertical slats, and Kia EV5-like LED taillamps. However, the window line, A- and B-pillars, roofline, and flared wheel arches remain unchanged. The interior is not visible in the most recent photos. Market reports, however, indicate that Kia may adopt a clutter-free cabin design for its redesigned compact SUV, similar to its EV models. It's worth mentioning that the aforementioned design features may not be final, and the India-spec model could differ from the recently spotted global version.
New Kia Seltos: Other Expected Features
Currently, the technical specifications of the revamped SUV are undisclosed. However, industry rumours suggest that Kia may introduce a hybrid variant of the model alongside the traditional turbo-petrol and diesel models. This hybrid option will provide more options for buyers in the compact SUV segment.

In India, the current-gen Kia Seltos packs a range of powertrain options, including the 1.5-litre petrol, 1.5-litre turbodiesel, and 1.5-litre turbo-petrol. The petrol version develops 113bhp/144Nm coupled with a six-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox. On the other hand, the turbo-diesel unit produces 114.4bhp/250Nm mated to either a 6-speed automatic transmission or a 6-speed iMT. The 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, in contrast, generates 158bhp/253Nm with a seven-speed DCT or a six-speed iMT.
Interior-wise, the upcoming Seltos is expected to get a major revamp, with a new multi-layered dashboard with orange highlights. The LEDs will likely be positioned on the dashboard and door trims, while ambient lighting may also be included. Compared to the 3-spoke steering, the SUV could get a new 2-spoke steering.
Although Kia hasn't revealed anything, market speculations indicate that the revised Seltos may have its official debut in the second quarter of 2025. In India, the all-new SUV could debut by the end of the next year or early 2026.
