Could this be the Stinger Sportwagen or an estate car based on the next-gen Cee'd hatchback? Come 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show, Kia will reveal all that and more...
There’s no denying that Kia has been on a roll in the past couple of years. Just look at the way the firm has transformed itself from making humdrum family cars to scintillating, or rather aspirational machines these days – think of the Stinger, Sportage, Optima, et al. Now seemingly there’s no stopping this spunky new trend at Kia Motors as the firm has just released a teaser image of an all-new vehicle. Although in conceptual stage at the moment, the new Kia is going to be a stunning estate car.
Kia hasn’t divulged any substantial information about the new car, meaning most of us are still busy guessing if it’s going to be an estate car based on the hot Stinger saloon or it’s just a stretched version of the next-gen Cee'd hatchback. That said, there’s a good chance that it’s related to the latter since the official release reads “it indicates what the next-generation Cee’d could look like.”
As for the design, it’s a lovely looking concept, to say the least. Among some of its highlights, the stubby rear end coupled with a swooping roofline, high window-line, massive wheels and taut bodywork make it a stunner in the aesthetic department. The frontal view of the car is still not out, but you can trust Kia designers with that – it should be as striking as the rest of the bodywork, we think.
There’s no word on the technical specifications as yet. But then, you won’t have to wait too long for that since Kia is going to reveal the new concept at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show in two weeks’ time. Stay tuned...
