Kia is all set to unveil the updated Carens in India on May 8, 2025. This refreshed version of the popular MPV will debut with a new identity, likely featuring styling and feature enhancements to keep it competitive in the growing three-row segment. While the Carens has carved a niche for itself with its practicality, space, and value, the upcoming version aims to add more polish and appeal. With design changes expected inside and out, along with possible additions to the features and tech list, the 2025 Carens could raise the bar for family-friendly MPVs. Ahead of the reveal, here's a quick look at what you can expect from the new iteration of Kia’s well-received people mover.

The updated Carens is anticipated to feature notable exterior revisions that reflect the brand’s latest design philosophy. Expect a refreshed grille, a more sculpted, angular headlamps following the new ‘Starlamp’ theme, updated LED DRLs, a full-width taillight arrangement, newly designed alloy wheels, and reworked front and rear bumpers.

New Kia Carens: Expected Amenities

On the inside, while the MPV will still offer both six- and seven-seater configurations, the cabin is in for a major revamp. A reimagined dashboard design, premium upholstery, and improved touchpoints are expected. The feature list may be bolstered with dual 12.3-inch screens, updated AC vents, an electronically adjustable co-driver’s seat, dual-zone climate control, and a panoramic sunroof. The six-seat version might gain added comfort features like ventilated rear seats and individual entertainment screens. Meanwhile, familiar comforts—ambient lighting, a wireless charger, ventilated front seats, and a powered driver’s seat—should remain.

In terms of safety, the updated Carens is likely to offer a broader suite of tech, including six airbags as standard, ESC, front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera system, and potentially ADAS features for added driver support.

New Kia Carens: Powertrain

Engine options are expected to stay the same, with the Carens continuing to offer the 1.5-litre NA petrol (113bhp/144Nm), 1.5-litre turbo petrol (158bhp/253Nm), and 1.5-litre diesel (114bhp/250Nm) units.
