The Jeep Wrangler Moab Edition will sot in between the Sahara and Rubicon.
Jeep has introduced a new special model of the Wrangler called the Moab Edition. The name is credited to their tradition of the annual Easter Jeep Safari event, which is held in Moab, Utah.
The Moab will be placed in between the Sahara and the Rubicon editions. The Moab is built on the Sahara model with added elements to make it more off-road focused. The Moab edition equips the Wrangler with 32-inch mud-terrain tyres wrapped around 17-inch Low Gloss Black-painted aluminium wheels. It also borrows the bonnet from the Rubicon with ‘MOAB’ decals and steel bumpers, a Selec-Trac full-time two-speed transfer case and a Trac-Lok limited-slip rear differential.
Additional cosmetic upgrades on the Moab edition are low-gloss black finish on the headlight surrounds, grille throats and tow hooks. Off-road rock rails from the Rubicon will be available as an option, but the Sahara step sides will also be available. The hard top will be finished in the body colour as standard, but a dual-top group or Sky One-Touch power-top will be also available. The Wrangler with the Moab edition will be available in nine colour options.
The interior will get leather-trimmed seats and leather-wrapped dashboard with contrast stitching. It will also feature an 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen with navigation, a nine-speaker premium Alpine sound system and all-weather slush mats, in addition to other features.
For the Indian market, we still await the launch of the latest generation of the Jeep Wrangler. It remains to be seen whether FCA India will introduce any of these editions when the new Wrangler arrives.
