New Hyundai Venue Spotted Testing Overseas Ahead of Global Debut
The upcoming Hyundai Venue retains its boxy shape but receives updated styling elements that give it a more modern, bold, and aggressive look.

Hyundai's second-generation Venue has been spotted undergoing testing overseas, signalling its anticipated global debut later this year. Spy shots reveal significant design updates, including a wider front grille, split headlamps with sleek LED daytime running lights, and redesigned alloy wheels. Notably, the test mule features a radar system on the lower grille, suggesting the inclusion of Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). The rear showcases new horizontal taillights and a reworked bumper, enhancing its contemporary appeal. While official specifications remain under wraps, the upcoming Venue is expected to retain its current powertrain options, including the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated (NA) petrol, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol, and 1.5-litre diesel engines. These enhancements aim to bolster Hyundai's position in the competitive subcompact SUV segment.
New Hyundai Venue Spied: Key Details

Although the upcoming Hyundai Venue continues to follow the boxy design language of the current version, it introduces a host of visual enhancements that give it a more contemporary and assertive appearance. The split LED headlamp configuration has been carried forward but now adopts a more pronounced, squared-off design, contributing to a bolder front end. The grille has been fully redesigned, drawing clear aesthetic parallels with Exter and Alcazar, which enhances its rugged, SUV-like presence. One major upgrade is the inclusion of front parking sensors – a feature that the present model lacks.

From the side, the Venue now sports a striking set of newly styled alloy wheels, paired with thicker black cladding and more sharply sculpted side mirrors. Interestingly, it sticks with conventional door handles rather than adopting the increasingly popular flush design. At the rear, significant styling tweaks include a full-width connected LED taillight setup, a silver-finished bumper insert, and a black shark-fin antenna, replacing the body-coloured version seen on the current model. Rear parking sensors continue to be a standard feature.
New Hyundai Venue: Powertrain Options

Mechanically, the South Korean automaker has not confirmed any changes, and the new Venue is expected to retain its familiar engine lineup: a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol (82bhp/114Nm), a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol (118bhp/172Nm), and a 1.5-litre diesel (114bhp/250Nm). Transmission options are likely to include a five-speed manual, six-speed manual, and a seven-speed DCT, depending on the variant.
New Hyundai Venue: Expected Features
Although official details about the cabin are still under wraps, the upcoming Venue is expected to receive a significant interior overhaul. Hyundai is likely to introduce a host of upscale enhancements, many borrowed from the Creta and Alcazar. These may include a fully digital instrument cluster of the same size, a sliding and reclining rear row, a panoramic sunroof, Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen, and ventillated front seats to elevate both comfort and safety.

The new Venue is poised to launch with a significant hike over the current model, which is priced from Rs 7.94 lakh to Rs 13.62 lakh (ex-showroom). Despite the anticipated premium, the compact SUV will maintain its position in a competitive segment, going up against established players like the Skoda Kylaq, Kia Syros, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Tata Nexon, and Kia Sonet.
