As far as technical specs are concerned, the automaker hasn't revealed any information yet. More details about the platform and powertrain are expected to be revealed during the model's international premiere in August. Until then, let's take a closer look at the available images of the upcoming SUV, which boasts a significant design improvement over the outgoing version.

New Hyundai Santa Fe: What's Changed?
The mid-size vehicle has ditched the old curved lines for a straight-edged and contemporary boxy style. Both the front and the rear include lighting components in the shape of an H. According to the automaker, the H-shaped design features interpret Hyundai's 'H' symbol in a new way. Both bumpers also feature a new squared-off design, and the bonnet is fairly flat and has a clamshell appearance.
From the side, the SUV looks enormous. The increased wheelbase, according to the manufacturer, has made room for the roofline. The 21-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels are housed in the inclined wheel arches and, are covered with 245-section rubber. Hyundai claims that the back has a larger tailboard. Overall, the new Santa Fe receives black body cladding all over.
Inside, the vehicle has undergone significant alterations. Its dashboard is shaped like a slab and has a single AC vent, stretching across the whole width. Other features include a three-spoke steering wheel like a Land Rover, a curved dual display with two 12.3-inch panels, and a spot to wirelessly charge two phones at once. The central console includes several dials and controls for the drive and terrain modes, as well as the multi-zone climate control system. In order to create extra storage space underneath the central console, the gear lever is now positioned on the steering column.
Hyundai claims that the new Santa Fe will include a third row of seats, although the current model is only available in a two-row layout. The images display a two-row setup with flat-folding seats in the second row. Apart from this, the SUV will have bright-coloured seats, a panoramic sunroof, and more.
