The new Hyundai Creta has reached a significant sales milestone of 1 lakh units within six months of its launch in India, with an average of 550 units sold per day. It comes with a new drivetrain option and an extensively revised exterior and interior. In the domestic market, the Hyundai car faces competition from models such as the Toyota Hyryder, the Kia Seltos, the Tata Harrier, the Mahindra Scorpio, and the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. It's noteworthy that the new Creta was the second best-selling SUV in June 2024, with 16,293 units sold. It saw a YoY growth of 12.78%.
Commenting on the sales milestone, Mr. Tarun Garg, COO, of Hyundai Motor India Limited, said 'We are thrilled with the remarkable achievement of the new Hyundai Creta 2024. Hyundai Creta: Design
The new Creta sports Hyundai's global design language of 'Sensuous Sportiness'. It comes with quad-beam LED headlights and a black chrome parametric radiator grille, signature Horizon LED positioning lights, and DRLs, an aerodynamic spoiler, a revamped tailgate, and new connected LED taillamps. For the exterior, the SUV gets six monotone and one dual-tone colour options: Fiery Red, Ranger Khaki, Robust Emerald Pearl, Titan Grey, Abyss Black, Atlas White, and Atlas White with Black Roof (dual-tone). It rolls on 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.
Hyundai Creta: Dimensions and Variants
The 2024 iteration comes in seven primary variants: E, EX, S, S (O), SX, SX Tech, and SX (O). It measures 4,330mm in length, 1,790mm in width, and 1,635mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,610mm.
Hyundai Creta: Powertrain
The Creta is offered with three engine options: a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated (NA) petrol, a 1.5-litre diesel, and a new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol. The NA petrol version delivers 144Nm and 113bhp, while the diesel unit generates 114bhp and 250Nm. The new turbo-petrol, on the other hand, produces 158bhp and 253Nm. The gearbox choices include a 6-speed MT, 6-speed AT, iMT, CVT (iVT), and a 7-speed DCT.

In terms of features, the Creta SUV has front-ventilated seats, a 360-degree camera, drive modes, an electronic parking brake, an 8-speaker Bose audio system, a 360-degree camera, drive modes, an electronic stability program (ESP), a tyre pressure monitoring system, a leatherette-wrapped gear shifter, a flat-bottom steering wheel, ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, and over seventy connected car features.
