A Honda mid-size SUV, codenamed PF2, is reportedly in the works for India. Honda could launch the upcoming mid-size SUV in April 2023 and it is anticipated to be packed with the latest touchscreen infotainment system, two powertrain options, and more. The standard version of the new SUV is expected to cost Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom) whereas the top-end variant is anticipated to be priced at Rs 18 lakh (ex-showroom).

The car will come in a 5-seat configuration and is expected to have a large boot space. Additionally, a touchscreen infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity, new connected car technology, a digital instrument cluster, and other high-tech features are likely to be found in the model.
The Honda mid-size SUV is expected to have two powertrain options - a 1.5-litre petrol hybrid engine and a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. It is anticipated to boast manual as well as eCVT automatic transmission options.

Due to increased emission rules, the carmaker will stop producing diesel engines in February 2023. Hence, the anticipated SUV will not have a diesel engine. The upcoming SUV by Honda will be a direct rival to the Hyundai Creta. It will also compete against models like the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, the Kia Seltos, and the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder.
