Honda is set to announce the price of the third-generation Amaze sedan in India on December 4. A staunch rival to the fourth-generation Maruti Suzuki Dzire, the upcoming Honda Amaze will be an upgrade over the car launched in 2018. The shadowy teaser image dropped earlier was mostly about the vehicle's front end appearing similar to newer Honda cars, but we now have a set of design sketches that does away with the disguise. Judging by the sketches, we are looking at a 'true sedan shape', reflecting a 'higher-class car while remaining in the compact sedan segment'.
The new Amaze has slender LED headlamps with LED daytime running lamps, flanking a bold, wide hexagonal grille with a honeycomb pattern. The front bumper is sharp, with large air dam recesses on each corner. In profile, the facelifted Amaze seems to sport a new set of alloy wheels. The rear combination lamps with the large Amaze badging in the centre lend a sporty look.

New Honda Amaze: Interior
The 'spacious modern cabin' gets a dashboard layout similar to the Elevate, albeit with different upholstery and trim options. Features-wise, the new Amaze has a floating touchscreen infotainment system, a semi-digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, an HVAC panel, a 3-spoke steering wheel, a sound system, Type C charging ports, and wireless charging. Also, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity will likely be available upon launch. As far as safety goes, expect the sedan to come with an ADAS (advanced driver assistance systems) suite, a segment-first feature for the Amaze.
New Honda Amaze: Powertrain
Under the hood, the new Honda Amaze is expected to pack a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine coupled to either a 5-speed manual or a CVT gearbox. Honda will likely add a CNG powertrain to the lineup later.
