A test mule of the updated Tata Nexon has been spotted for the first time in India. Although there is no official update, the spy images hint that the carmaker is bringing a massively updated Tata Nexon to our market. As for the changes, images indicate that the new-gen Nexon will have a brand-new front fascia. It could get a new connected LED light bar directly above the grille, just like the Curvv concept, and the revamped front bumper may get a modified central air intake and grille design. The rear bumper and tailgate could have smoother surfaces than the current version. Further, taillamps with a connected LED light bar and slimmer tail-lamp modules will probably imitate the front-end design. Apart from this, the model's alloy wheels will probably also get a new design.
Speaking of the interior, it’s expected to get a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a new digital instrument cluster. Tata Motors previewed the new 10.25-inch touchscreen at the Auto Expo 2023. According to reports, it will be offered across the company's model line-up soon.

As for the engine, the updated Tata Nexon might come equipped with a new 1.2-litre turbo-petrol unit, which is capable of generating 123bhp and 225Nm. This engine, like the touchscreen, was also showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo. Most likely, a 1.5-litre diesel engine will be available as an option with the model.

There is still some time before the debut of the facelift version, according to industry rumours. It is likely to enter our market by 2024. As for the prices, the new-gen Nexon is expected to cost more than the current model, which ranges between Rs 7.80 and Rs 14.30 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom). Once it is launched, it will continue to compete with vehicles like the Hyundai Venue, Nissan Magnite, and Mahindra XUV300 in India.
