New-gen Skoda Kushaq India Launch by August 2025

Skoda is reported to launch the Kushaq Facelift in India in August 2025. With several cosmetic and feature enhancements, the mid-size SUV will likely command a hefty premium over the current model, which starts at Rs 10.89 lakh (ex-showroom).

Skoda reportedly plans to give the Kushaq an extensive makeover by August 2025. Over its three-year existence, the mid-size SUV has received numerous new features and editions, but it is now set for a comprehensive makeover, including major aesthetic upgrades. Following the most recent price revision, the Kushaq SUV is currently available at prices ranging from Rs 10.89 lakh to Rs 18.79 lakh but only for a limited time. It has received a maximum price cut of Rs 2.19 lakh, applicable on the Monte Carlo 1.5 AT. Let's take a look at some of the potential features of the new Kushaq.

New Skoda Kushaq: Cosmetic Updates

Following the transformation, the SUV's headlamps and taillamps are expected to get integrated lighting arrangements. The headlamps are likely to increase in size and will be attached to the grille, while the taillamps could be similar to those on the new Kodiaq. Other possible design enhancements include new alloys and fresh bumpers (front and rear). The mid-size SUV is also expected to get Olive Green as a new colour option. 

New Skoda Kushaq: Features

While the confirmed specifics on upgraded features are still scarce, the SUV is expected to receive new interior upholstery and design. Its biggest safety feature enhancement could be ADAS. Currently, the Kushaq is equipped with a sunroof, ventilated front seats, powered driver and co-driver seat, wireless phone charging, a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and an 8-inch digital driver display (Style and Monte Carlo models). It also has a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), six airbags, and electronic stability control (ESC) for safety. 

New Skoda Kushaq: Powertrain

The 2025 Skoda Kushaq will reportedly keep its 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine options. The former produces 114bhp and 178Nm, while the latter delivers 148bhp and 250Nm. A 6-speed manual gearbox is standard with both units. For the automatic versions, the more powerful 1.5-litre engine gets a 7-speed DCT (dual-clutch gearbox), while the 1.0-litre is mated to a 6-speed torque converter.

New Skoda Kushaq: Rivals 

With several cosmetic and feature upgrades, the new Kushaq is likely to ask for a hefty premium over its predecessor. Once launched, it will continue to rival the Volkswagen Taigun, the Honda Elevate, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and the Kia Seltos.
