2018 has been an action packed year for the car industry so far as various brand new models and facelifts have been launched within the last four months. Here is a list of all of them.
Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Convertible
The Evoque Convertible is the first drop top SUV to be sold in India and at Rs 69.53 lakh (ex-showroom), is almost Rs 10 lakh dearer than the standard Evoque. Its roof can be brought down in just 20 seconds at speeds of up to 48km/h.

Toyota Land Cruiser Prado facelift
This serves as the second facelift for the fourth-generation Prado, which was originally launched in 2009, and the changes on the new model are significant. Powering the Prado is the 3.0-litre diesel engine from the old Fortuner which makes 171bhp and 410Nm. The SUV is priced at Rs 92.60 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Ferrari 812 Superfast
The 812 Superfast is the successor of the F12 Berlinetta. It sports a naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 that churns out 789bhp and 718Nm of torque. Ferrari claims that the 812 Superfast is the company’s most powerful and fastest road-going series production car. The supercar dismisses the 0-100km/h sprint in just 2.9 seconds.

Mercedes-Benz S-Class facelift
Mercedes has thoroughly updated its flagship S-Class lineup in India with the relaunch of the Maybach S-Class and facelift of the regular S-Class. The new diesel engine in the S-Class is India’s first BS-VI compliant engine and it can also run on the current BS-IV fuel. It is a 3.0-litre inline-6 engine that produces 282bhp and 600Nm.

Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII
The Phantom VIII sits atop Rolls-Royce’s recently announced all-new proprietary aluminium architecture dubbed Architecture of Luxury. It is claimed to have the most silent interior of anything on wheels. Powering the new Phantom is a 6.75-litre V12 turbo-petrol motor churning out 563bhp and 900Nm.

Porsche 911 GT3 RS facelift
The facelifted GT3 RS’ 4.0-litre naturally aspirated engine has been tweaked to produce 20bhp more than before. This means the engine develops 513bhp now, along with 470Nm of peak torque. The GT3 RS is only available with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, no stick shift available here.

BMW 6 Series GT
The 6 Series GT replaces the 5 Series GT globally and also a new direction for the 6 Series brand in general, which earlier consisted of only coupes. It is based on the latest 5 Series and shares its engines with the former as well.

All-new BMW M5
The M5 is the bonkers avatar of the 5 Series. The new model also features xDrive 4WD system for the first time. Under the hood, the super saloon features a longitudinally mounted 4.4-litre, V8 petrol motor that makes 592 horses and 750Nm.

Hyundai i20 facelift
Hyundai’s popular premium hatchback has received a minor refresh for the 2018 model year. It sports a mildly revised front end, and a thoroughly updated rear design. Engine options remain the same as before, though the 1.4-petrol automatic has been axed.

All-new Maruti Suzuki Swift
The next generation of what probably is India’s most sought after hatchback was launched at this year’s Auto Expo. The new model features an brand new design inside and out. It is based on a new platform which is shared with the Dzire and Baleno. Also, for the first time, Maruti is offering AMT option on the Swift - both with petrol and diesel engines.
Maserati Levante
The Levante is the only SUV in the Italian luxury carmaker’s lineup and sports all the stunning design elements that makes Maserati’s vehicles stand out. The interior of the SUV, too, is dipped in luxury featuring premium leather, fine woods, platinum-effect metals, handcrafted contrast stitching and much more. It is powered by a V6 diesel engine.

Land Rover Range Rover Velar
The stunning Range Rover Velar sits between the Evoque and Sport in the Range Rover hierarchy. It shares its platform with the Jaguar F-Pace. In India, you can get the Velar with one petrol and two diesel engine options.

Lexus LS
The LS is Lexus’ flagship luxury saloon that competes with the likes of the Mercedes S-Class and BMW 7 Series. In India, the LS is only available as a hybrid which combines a V6 petrol engine with two electric motors.
Lamborghini Urus
The much awaited ‘super SUV’ from the company renowned for making furious supercars was launched in India in January this year. Lamborghini claims that the Urus is the fastest production SUV, capable of clocking 0-100km/h in just 3.6 seconds and 0-200km/h in 12.8 seconds.
